Shared Driveway/Alleyway Repaving Starts Around October 11th

Shared driveway repaving – alternatively known as easement repaving or alleyway repaving – will begin around October 11th, weather permitting.

Please consult the construction schedule and zone maps below for plans and a rough schedule.

TRASH COLLECTION DURING REPAVING

Please note: If your alleyway/driveway is unavailable due to construction, trash pickup will still take place. During the relatively brief period that work is being done behind your house, please place trash out for collection at the curb on the street in front of your home.

Note that this schedule is a tentative plan and could be subject to change. As a result, weekly construction updates will be posted on the borough website; please check back for the most current information.

We recognize that this construction will cause some headaches for residents. Please try to bear with us and be patient as we iron out some of the kinks of construction. We are optimistic that once this project is complete, the quality of life in the affected communities will increase.

Once construction begins in a specific neighborhood, permit parking enforcement will be suspended as it would be nearly impossible to precisely predict timelines and movement throughout the community. Permit parking enforcement will resume with ample notice once the work has been completed to the extent that residents who choose not to purchase a permit can park in their parking spots.

The construction company hired by the borough will put out notices and post “no parking” signs as they move along. Please check your mailbox frequently and keep an eye out for signs. You do not need to move your vehicle from your parking spot until construction reaches your home. Please note that personal parking spots are not being repaved and will still need to be maintained by individual homeowners.

Although the deadline has passed, please still feel encouraged to return your signed, notarized temporary construction easement to borough hall if you have not already done so. These forms may still be accepted even after construction has been completed.
