Job Description: The Codes Enforcement Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective enforcement of the Borough Zoning Ordinance and other ordinances/regulations adopted by Borough Council. In the capacity of Code Enforcement Officer, this employee's prime responsibility is the administration and enforcement of the Borough Zoning Ordinance and other Borough Code ordinances. This assignment calls for independent and evaluative thinking. Responsibilities include visiting locations where violations are suspected, obtaining proof of the violation, and identifying the person(s) responsible for the violation.
The codes enforcement officer role provides essential quality of life services for the residents of Folcroft Borough. The immediate focus of this role will be centered on ensuring that residential and commercial lots adhere to ordinances and regulations relating to grass length, trash disposal, and construction permitting. Opportunity exists for the role to expand.
