Folcroft Borough Police Department Accepting Applications for Full-Time Officers
The Borough of Folcroft is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Police Officer.
Applications can be obtained from the Folcroft Borough Police Department, 1555 Elmwood Ave Folcroft, PA 19032 beginning Thursday February 1, 2024, until Thursday February 29, 2024. Applications are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
All completed applications must be returned to the Folcroft Borough Police Department (1555 Elmwood Ave, Folcroft, PA 19032) no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Qualified applications will be required to participate in a physical agility examination that will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 9am at Sharon Hill Track (700 Coates Street, Sharon Hill PA 19079). This is a PASS/FAIL physical agility test being handled by Delaware County Police Academy, with the agility test comprising the MOPETC standards. Applicants that pass this examination will move on to the written examination.
The written examination will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 10:30 am at Folcroft Borough Hall (1555 Elmwood Ave. Folcroft PA, 19032). The testing is based on MOPTEC training and testing. Applicants that pass this stage will move on to the oral interview and will be contacted by the chief of police of the date and time. All applicants must show valid photo identification before being allowed to take part in all testing
General Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age as of the date of filing June 14, 2023
- U.S. Citizen, Physically and Mentally Fit
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Act 120 Certification or Act 120 certified by date of appointment
- Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
- No Disqualifying Criminal History
